Any member planning to participate must complete the Dallas County Garage Sale Permit Application (here) and email it to revenue-collections@dallascityhall.com. The HOA cannot obtain a blanket permit, as it creates an obligation to collect and remit sales tax; but without the free permit, the City of Dallas may cite, fine, and shut down your Garage Sale.   To facilitate, the Board will hold open our front gates from 8am until 3pm on the Saturday mentioned above.    The Board will make every effort to publicize on the relevant websites and put out signs on Jim Miller. They will also check with some organizations (Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc.) to see if they would be willing to do a drive-through and pick up any leftover items you would like to donate.   Our By-Laws don't allow for individual garage sales, so we hope you will see this as an excellent opportunity to clean out your closets/garages and monetize, recycle, reuse, and repurpose unwanted items.
