Our neighbor, Megan Ames, has volunteered to Chair the Community Garage Sale on Saturday, April 9th from 8am to 12pm. If you are interested in participating and/or volunteering on the Committee, please email Megan at megan.villa12@gmail.com AND register at Skyline Branch Library or complete the Dallas County Garage Sale Permit Application (here) and email it to revenue-collections@dallascityhall.com. The HOA cannot obtain a blanket permit, as it creates an obligation to collect and remit sales tax; but without the free permit, the City of Dallas may cite, fine and shut down your Garage Sale.

 

If you may recall, EWC held similar community yard sale events in the past that were very successful. Our By-Laws don't allow for individual Garage Sales -- so, this will be your only opportunity this year.

 

To facilitate, the Board will hold open our front gates from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 9th.

 

The Committee will place a post on Craigslist, the Buckner Terrace Neighborhood Association, and put out signs on Jim Miller. We will also check with some organizations (Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc.) to see if they would be willing to do a drive through and pick up anything leftover you'd like to donate.
